Switchem now includes an installation script!
Switchem is a commandline-based tool for switching your X11 window manager or desktop environment. Switchem is written completely in perl. A global database of window managers is kept up to date, and Switchem knows what window managers are installed on your system, without requiring any extra packages (unlike Redhat's switchdesk tool).
Version 1.1 adds a periodic check of the local cache to expire it if it's too old. This makes it possible for an administrator to install a window manager that's already listed in the global db without having to worry about user's being able to see the new window manager when they attempt to switch their desktop. The default expiration period is one week, in which time if the local cache hasn't been updated, it'll be recreated.
