NoPopIE is a popup blocker for Microsoft's Internet Explorer. It's currently targeted at Windows 2000 or newer versions of Microsoft's operating systems.
The current version of NoPopIE is 1.0.200.0
Note: If NoPopIE doesn't seem to work, run "regsvr32 nopopie.dll" from the directory where NoPopIE was installed (should be "Program Files\NoPopIE" by default). I've generated a new installer that should work better. Visual Studio .NET 2003's installer support is pretty bad. I've now created another installer using Nullsoft's NSIS. Make sure you uninstall any previous version of NoPopIE before installing the new version.
Features:
- Block by source or destination
- Stops popups you do allow from blocking the window from being resized (see tests for examples)
- Handles "psuedo-maximizing" popups (see tests for examples)
- Three modes:
- Allow all popups
- Deny all popups
- Ask about unknown popups (default)
- Multi-user friendly. Log files are stored in each user's individual application directory, and registry keys are stored in the user's portion of the registry.
NoPopIE is completely free to use. If you want to distribute NoPopIE, feel free so long as you properly credit me and take steps to keep your copy reasonably up to date. NoPopIE releases fairly infrequently, so this is not a tough request. The current MSI installer sucks, but it gets the job done.
