My friends and I went out to Champs Karting tonight. I thought I did pretty good with a best lap time of 20.60, but my friend Kevin (aka Garth Brooks) went out and ran a 19.84! That's quite impressive!
I would've raced more, but at $15 per race (a race consists of 18 laps and takes around 5 minutes) it just wasn't cost effective. For my money, I'd rather go down to Pacific Raceways and run some laps with the great guys at ProFormance Racing School instead. $175 for an afternoon of lapping (without an instructor, though) is worth it for an afternoon of exhilaration.
